By Kathleen Lewis-Workman on Friday, January 16, 2004 - 12:49 am: Has anyone been through the application process for ISSH? From abroad? We have been told that a place is being held for our daughter, but that no official acceptance can be given until an in person interview takes place. We may not be able to do this interview until a few days before schoolE It seems risky. I am not worried that the interviewer will find reason not to accept our daughter, but that by the time school starts there will be no space for her. Any thoughts???

I saw another couple who had that interview after their daughter was screened for her English level, 2 days before she entered school. My best offer is simply to contact Mrs. Kawaguchi, the registrar (if you're applying for Kindergarten or JS) and share your thoughts and concerns with her. She is very kind and cooperative. As for the interview - have no fear - Mrs. Lee is really nice and not at all intimidating. Good luck and and all the best, Liat Friedman

I have been in touch via email with Ms. Kawaguchi and she seems very nice. I just do not want to wait till August to finalize our school plans. We will see... THANKS Kathleen
