Need of a Filipino School in Japan
By Tonette Binsol on Tuesday, November 1, 2005 - 6:40 am:Dear Colleague in Japan: Bicultural orientation (or even multicultural orientation) is what our Filipino kids need in Japan and for the parents, we cannot pretend forever that we can participate fully in our child's education in Japan because of the cultural and language barriers. So please help us gather more data as we build our own Filipino school in Japan. The site is right at: http://www.tpmovers.org/filschool_japan.htm As a fact, Brazilians, Indians, Taiwanese and Indonesians already succeeded! In China, Qatar, Greece, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Libya, Oman, and Bahrain, we have Philippine schools. Why can't we have one in Japan with more than 400,000 Filipinos and we could easily predict how many children there are who could study in this school? Besides, a built school could mean a lot of opportunities for all of us. Let's build our Diaspora and Bayanihan in Japan, Kabayan! We need your help to support this project!
