Does anyone know a good place that offers karate classes for very young (3 year old) children in Tokyo?
By Cornelia on Monday, November 6, 2000 - 2:31 am:
I was looking for judo classes for my 4 year old daughter and found this:
judo: Kodokan at Korakuen (close to Tokyo Big Dome) has an English web-site
but unfortunately classes only start with 6 year olds. I sent the webmaster an email asking about classes for younger children in other places... but I doubt I'll get an answer that way. I'll probably have to truck on down there and stumble around language-wise for an hour before getting anything I can use.
Here are other martial arts headquarters.
International Budo University
841 Shinkan, Katsuura City, Chiba-ken
Nearest train: Katsuura station on the Sotobo line.
Aikikai Foundation, Aikido World Headquarters
17-18 Wakamatsucho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo
Nearest train: Wakamatsu-Kawada station on the Oedo subway line. http://www.aikikai.or.jp (has an English section)
