Traditional Inns (Ryokans)

Japan With Kids - Forums: Traveling to/from and in Japan: Accommodation in Japan: Traditional Inns (Ryokans)

There is a clean crisp web site offering help in finding traditional Japanese Ryokan accommondation all over Japan.

http://www.JapaneseGuestHouses.com

It includes a page with special tours for understanding the remaining geisha culture in Kyoto.

Some families have reported good experiences with children at ryokans.

Hi. Does anyone know if any ryokan offer a babysitting service? I have a friend coming to visit & we're planning to go to Kyoto & Hiroshima, taking my 7 month old with us. I'd love to show her Kyoto by night & wondered whether there was any ryokan that would keep the baby monitor for a couple of hours.
