Shopping in Japan:

Has anyone ever used one of these things?
Apparently it is partly an effort to be eco-conscious.
Also I have a friend who insists that OB tampons (available in the USA) are much better than the equivelant product sold in Japan. Does anyone have any comments on their experience with the local tampons?

I haven't had a problem with local tampons, except they are small. This is really only a problem in terms of having to change them more frequently than OB or other tampons. That being said, I do get OB tampons sent to me from the US because, well, I guess I just like the security of a slightly more absorbant product.

I have just become the first official stockist of UK Mooncups in Japan!!!
I thoroughly recommend this eco-friendly alternative to tampons. It is so much better for your body, cheaper and so convenient.
You can find it on my site;
