Japan With Kids - Forums: Shopping in Japan: Webcam
By Nirak on Monday, December 17, 2007 - 7:40 pm:

I would like to buy a pair of webcams so that I can communicate with my friend in France.

Someone recommended the brand Logitel but what's got me confused is figuring out where to buy them. If I buy the webcams in Japan, would I have to be worried about their installing in Japanese language on our computers? Should I buy my friend's in France and order mine from the US just in case?

thanks!

We bought our Logicool webcam from Yodobashi Akiba at Akihabara. It was cheap and installation instructions came in English too. Otherwise, you can just get the information from the internet for the model you buy and follow the instructions from there.

My mum was here last month and she loved our webcam so much so bought exactly the same one to use back home. The picture quality was fantastic (much better than other expensive brands which we had use previously) and it comes with a built-in microphone. Crystal clear quality too.

Note: My mum's 60 and could install the webcam with no problem =)

Can you please let me know which model you bought and the cost details of the same? I bought one from buffalo and totally unsatisfied with the quality of the images :-(
