Hi all,
I've just found out I'm pregnant! (I think that makes me due around November.) I'm 31 and my husband is Japanese. I live in Yokohama and I work full time so can't go to the Tokyo Pregnancy Group meetings or pre natal classes but would love to meet/talk to other mums-to-be. Please post here if you are interested.

As a lot of the threads on here are quite old, I thought a new one for this year's pregnancies would be useful.

Jayne, thanks for sharing the exciting news. From what I have read, most of the resources listed here and the information shared covers being pregnant in Tokyo. But I know there are many foreign women who have given birth to their babies in Yokohama. I can't recall reading any posts here on this. Have you chosen an OB/GYN and a hospital? Would you like more information about resources in Yokohama, such as prenatal classes?

I have chosen a clinic very near my house in Yokodai. I don't think they are used to foreigners but the doctor seems very flexible and open to ideas. Its been a good experience there so far.

I was wondering if there is any kind of pregnancy group in my area. I live in Saitama, Fukaya city, Its near Kumagaya city. If no is there at least any other americans beside me? would love some company and freinds.
