Mums Friendship
By Saita on Tuesday, September 23, 2003 - 11:55 pm:Visit Mum's Friendship and find friends!! I opened HP to make friends for mum. It's really fun to talk about your children, family and culture in English. Let's exchange your idea with Mum around the world. By Saita on Thursday, September 25, 2003 - 10:12 am: Here is the HP address (Mum's Friendship) http://www011.upp.so-net.ne.jp/Mum-sFriendship/
By Imogen Tilley on Thursday, October 2, 2003 - 3:08 pm: Hi, I'm a mum of a 9 week old daughter. We are desperately looking for other English speaking Mums to get us out of the house occasionally. Any ideas of what groups to join?
By Chris and Naomi Reynolds on Thursday, October 2, 2003 - 10:47 pm: Hallo, ladies! I'm an (ancient) dad of a 5-year-old daughter. The resident mum (exactly half as ancient!) is currently in hospital looking after our 2-day-old daughter. We live in Yokohama, the same distance (~20 min walk or 5 min by bus) from Yokohama and Sakuragicho Stations. She is Japanese, qualified as a high school English teacher (B.A.), and is a qualified and (until recently) practising nurse (R.N.), especially skilled in pediatric nursing. Before this sounds too much like a job application, I ought to say that we're looking for either groups or individuals for friendship, cooperation, co-education-- especially in English--and activities. We'd of course prefer not to have to go all the way to Tokyo each time for that purpose.... Happy days to all!--Chris Reynolds

By Yuko Kubota on Friday, November 28, 2003 - 12:46 pm:Hi Judy, I wonder if you have inquired about mum groups in Yokohama at the following non-profitable organizations. The Konan International Lounge http://www.yk.rim.or.jp/~mk01-kil/ehome/index.htm YOKE which provides all kinds of info for non-native residents in Yokohama http://www.yoke.city.yokohama.jp/indexe.html Magical Child Club which is one of the most respected mum's groups in Yokohama http://magical-garden.hp.infoseek.co.jp/index.htm I was a co-founder of Pao Pao Ship in Kanagawa-ku.

By Shibuya on Monday, August 30, 2004 - 8:46 pm: Seems to me that KUDOS is more of a spammer ...Did you need to post everywhere?
By Admin on Monday, August 30, 2004 - 9:54 pm:Geraldine from Kudos spammed herself, realized what happened, and sent me an apology which I am passing on to everyone now. She apologized before I even had a chance to get on her case. She read the posting guidelines after the fact. I strongly encourage everyone else to read the posting guidelines (if you haven't already) at http://www.tokyowithkids.com/discussions/board-instructions.html They are not that long! I hope everone had a great summer! I'm preparing to fly back to Tokyo on Wednesday (arrive Thursday), so I will not be available for assistance for the rest of this week probably. There's just too much going on with school starting, etc. Cornelia

I am a mom to an 11 month year old, and am looking to form a mom and kids club in central Tokyo (mainly Meguro, Shinagawa, Shibuya, Azabu area). Details to be discussed with members, but I am thinking we all just meet up once a week, or more even if it works out; we can all go to the aquarium together, rent space and just hang out with our kids there, get coffee, go shopping, plan events, etc. I am open to suggestions! I am a Japanese national, but spent half my life in Australia, the U.S. and Shanghai. I speak fluent english and Japanese, plus conversational Chinese. All nationalities are welcome to join the club, no membership fees (at least for the time being), just whatever costs incur for whatever we plan to do. Main language should be english, but we can always do culture/language exchange! Please contact me (Lei) at: leioyamada@hotmail.com if you are interested! Let's hang out and have fun! Lei

By Natalie_l on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 - 8:43 am:Hi, I wanted to see if there is any interest in starting a "Yokohama Mums in the Park" group. I live in Yokohama, in Honmoku and there are so many lovely parks around here. The weather is starting to warm up and so I was hoping to start up some sort of regular meetings where we can get out from the concrete jungle and enjoy some nature. It wouldn't necessarily have to be in Honmoku each time - it could be different places in Yokohama. Please let me know if you are interested. My email is boppu@mac.com. Natalie.
