Looking to join or perhaps start a playgroup for children, between ages 2-5 years old (pre-school or kindergarten) in the West Chiba area (from Urayasu to Sakura-shi) I have 2 boys, a 3 year old and a 2 year old. Ideally, this would be after any school times,or on a weekend? I am from the USA and have a Japanese wife. Hope to hear from you soon!

Hi, we're looking for a weekend playgroup for our one-year old daughter in Tokyo's Edogawa-ku or the surrounding region. Our nearest station is on the Toei Shinjuku line.
Is anyone interested in starting one, or has someone already started one but not advertised it on these discussion pages?
Call Steve at (03)3652-0732 or e-mail me.

Hi. I've lived in England for nearly 3 years and have recently come back to my hometown, Chiba, with my English husband and 23 months old daughter.
I'm thinking about starting an English style Mother & Toddler Group in Jichi Kai Kan, near JR Shin Kemigawa Station, in Chiba City.
Is anyone interested in joing this playgroup chatting with other mums and singing English nursery rhymes? Or does anyone know about the similar group around this area?

Japanese family living in Urayasu-shi seeking English speaking families and friends who also live in Urayasu. I have a 2 years old daughter. Let us be friends and exchange information about living in Urayasu. If you are new living in Urayasu, I can perhaps be of help too.

Shall we have our 1st gathering at the Chiba City Lifelong Learning Center (Chiba City Central Library, 8mins walk from Chiba Station) either next Wed (May 30) or Sat (Jun 2) afternoon 12.30-3PM/ 3.30-6PM? There is a very nice playroom (very friendly to babies and toddlers) in the center, but it's only open to those who rent the facilities there. So, we may just book a small conference room (cheaper, 1340yen, fully booked on Sat though) or tatami-room (2150yen , all on the same floor),and "shuttle" between the two rooms. We will share the charge and the more we are the less we pay. If you have children from 0-7, and interested in joining an international playgroup, pls contact me via e-mail ASAP, thank you!
*There's a restaurant in the center; cot, children books, nursery room and some toys in the playroom.
