Golf tournament for young children
By Maki Craven on Tuesday, July 5, 2005 - 10:26 am:U.S. Kids Golf will have a tournament & lessons for kids age under 12. Unexperienced kids are welcome! Purpose of this tournament is to have fun playing golf with other kids. "U.S. Kids Golf - Summer Tournament 2005" Tama Hills Golf Course, Tokyo, August 4, 2005 The course is a full regulation course with fairways adjusted to age and gender. There are 12 groupings with kids of the same group competing in twosomes or threesomes (2 or 3 golfers per group). Entry fee is 4,000 yen for 9 holes and 6,000 yen for 18 holes. Entry forms must be submitted by 5PM Friday July 22. The number of holes played are determined by age and gender. A parent or guardian must be present at all times during the competition. Children must have a parent or guardian caddy. Special Note: Tama Hills is a closed course and an official photo bearing ID (passport,Japanese driver's license, Alien Registration card) will be required to gain admittance. Only pre-registered guests and golfers will be allowed into the facilities. Government regulations prohibit members from certain countries from gaining admission.
