The sexual harrassment law in Japan is quite recent. Here is some fall-out:

From the Kyushu Headline News for Friday, December 7, 2001:

* Loose Lips Sink Soldier
The Kumamoto District Court has awarded damages of 300,000 yen to a former female member of the Land Self Defence Forces in a sexual harassment suit. The victim accused a superior of forcibly kissing her and placing his hand on her thigh during training maneuvers in Oita. The offender also received a one day suspension for his act.
