Japan With Kids - Forums: Second Hand/Recycle/Flea Markets: Relief Agencies

No, on the whole they prefer money. Clothing costs too much to ship. There are clothing collection points it various City Halls, recycle centers, etc. in Japan. This clothing gets disposed of in various ways. Some of it is sorted and re-sold, lots of it is recycled fiber, and some fills whole containers and is shipped that way to various African and Asian destinations.

Does anyone know of any organizations in Japan that will take old clothing for disaster relief in Myanmar?
