Is there anyone out there who can tell me about living in Miyazaki (Southern Japan) with kids? Is there an expat community? How do apartments compare to the Tokyo area?

I would love to hear from anyone who has lived there or even just visited there. I am having a hard time finding very much info in English on the web.
